As we get older, it’s important to continue to take care of our skin. A healthy well-balanced diet, proper hydration and vitamin and mineral supplementation help internally, but having an effective skincare routine using natural products helps even more. The good news is, skincare doesn’t have to be expensive! I have rounded up some of the best natural skincare products under $20 that will keep you looking young and your skin healthy.

Facial Cleansers to Remove Makeup and Impurities

1. Holy Hydration. To remove makeup, impurities, and excess oil, consider a daily facial cleanser like e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration! Daily Cleanser. It’s a gentle, sulfate-free face wash with hyaluronic acid that will help cleanse your skin without over-drying it.

2. Best for Sensitive Skin. For more sensitive skin, Burt’s Bees facial cleanser is a great choice. It will help remove dirt and makeup without removing your skin’s natural moisture barriers. You can even add it to body wash for extra moisture!

3. Antioxidant-Rich. Acure’s Brightening Cleansing Gel is a plant-based cleanser infused with pomegranate, blackberry and acai to remove impurities and make your skin glow. Works for all skin types.

Keep your Skin Hydrated and Healthy With Moisturizer Creams

1. Blemish Buster. If you want a moisturizer free from oil that will still hydrate, Inkey List’s Omega Water Cream Moisturizer is the one. It is specifically made for blemish-prone skin, meaning that it will help hydrate and smooth the skin’s appearance.

2. Sensitive Skin Friendly. As we get older, our skin’s texture and firmness declines. To help fight this, you can use Cocokind Texture Smoothing Cream. It is made with celery extract and squalane to help provide even texture. It’s a great every day option, especially if you have sensitive skin.

3. Elbow and Heel Healing. Weleda Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream combines calendula, chamomile, pansy, rosemary, and sunflower seed oil to keep skin moisturized. Two areas that tend to get dry on the body are the heels and elbows, so this hydrating formula with plant-based ingredients can help!

Serums and Treatments for Dry Skin and Aging

1. Plumper Smoother Skin. By combining 2% hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, The Ordinary Serum absorbs quickly into the skin to make your skin feel smooth and plumb. This one helps create deep hydration for dry skin and works best after using a cleaner.

2. Anti-Aging Stick. To rejuvenate the under eye area, Acure Brightening Eye Serum Stick can do the trick. It uses a blend of coffee and tsubaki seed oils to create an antioxidant-rich, portable serum for anti-aging.

3. Deep Line and Wrinkle Remedy. Burt’s Bees is one of the best-known brands when it comes to natural skin care and its Renewal Firming Serum continues this tradition. By using bakuchiol, a natural retinol alternative, it can help smooth the look of deep lines and wrinkles.

Body Lotions and Balms for Total Body Skin Health

1. Shea Butter Better. You may know the Eos brand for their lip balms, but they make a very good body lotion. Its Shea Better Body Lotion is a combination of seven nourishing oils and butters to provide 24-hour hydration.

2. Manicure and Pedicure Friendly. For an affordable and aloe lotion, Triple Lanolin’s option can be used as a soothing lotion for the entire body, including the hands and feet. This makes it a create option after a mani-pedi session!

3. Dark Circle Destroyer. Cocokind MyMatcha All-Over Moisture Stick is a multi-purpose balm for lips, under-eyes, and dry spots. The organic matcha tea powder specifically can help reduce dark circles and under eye puffiness, as well as using coconut oil and vitamin E to help hydrate your skin.

Natural Sunscreen for Necessary Sun Protection

1. Sunscreen Stick. We all know we need sun protection. Sun Bum Mineral SPF 30 Sunscreen is an oxybenzone, octinoxate, gluten, cruelty, and paraben free face stick that provides up to two hours of 97% protection from UVB rays.

2. SPF 50 Mineral Lotion. For a bit stronger sunscreen, consider Bare Republic’s mineral sunscreen lotion. It’s dermatologist-approved and provides SPF 50 protection and eighty minutes of water resistance, making it perfect for the beach!

Keep Lips Hydrated and Healthy With Lip Balms

1. Beeswax Balm. We couldn’t talk about lip care without mentioning Burt’s Bees! And for good reason. It’s the OG when it comes to natural lip care. The original Beeswax Lip Balm contains obviously beeswax but also helps hydrate with peppermint oil. It’s also free of parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS.

2. Vegan Balm Option. For our vegan friends who need healthy and hydrated lips, the Hurraw! Organic Lip Balm will work just fine. It is bee, shea, soy, and palm oil free, and is made with certified organic, raw and vegan ingredients.

Natural Soaps for Smooth and Clean Hands

1. Aromatherapeutic Hand Soap. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap is a gentle, all-natural option made with olive oil, aloe vera, and essential oils to help soften your hands. Mrs. Meyer’s also avoids parabens, phthalates, or artificial colors. My favorite is rain water, but there are many other scents to choose from.

2. Sensitive Skin Safe. Using sugar as a main ingredient may seem strange, but it can actually help make more bubbles. Dr. Bronner’s Organic Sugar Soap is also made with organic ingredients and moisturizing coconut oil to help keep your skin hydrated. Many reviewers note that it’s one of the few soaps that doesn’t irritate their skin and keeps it very soft.

3. Synthetic Fragrance-Free. Everyone’s hand soap provides the perfect combination of relaxing lavender and tropical coconut. While natural products are usually free of parabens, dyes and harsh chemicals, the Everyone brand takes pride in it’s 100% recycled bottle and diverting 90% of its waste from landfills.

Total Body Clean With Natural Body Washes

1. Concentrated Castile. Dr. Bronner is back again. This time, it’s a pure castile soap meant for the body. I’ve used this option before and while many reviewers note how it makes their skin soft and smooth, I noticed a bit of a drying effect. If that’s the case, use a lotion after you shower!

2. Shea Butter Sheen. If you prefer a body wash with shea butter, consider SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter Body Wash. With 24-hour visible moisture, you’ll have healthy glowing skin for at least a day!

3. Sensational Scent. For a body wash that’s free of sulfates and parabens and offers a fresh scent of lemon balm and bamboo, Native’s Natural Body Wash is the one. Several reviewers phrase its ability to make your skin soft and its incredible scent. If lemon isn’t your cup of tea, there are several other scents available.
