Some streamers might use the final weekend of 2025 as an excuse to take things easy and withhold new offerings until next year.
Not Peacock, though. A pair of unconventional movies that were both out in theaters earlier this year have made their debut on Peacock.
Both of these films made it onto Watch With Us‘ roundup of the three best Peacock movies to binge-watch this weekend.
Our picks include a dark comedy, a horror flick and a Christmas-themed action movie.
‘Bugonia’ (2025)
Director Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone are getting weird again in Bugonia, a remake of Save the Green Planet!, a South Korean movie that came out in 2003. Stone plays Michelle Fuller, the powerful CEO of a pharmaceutical company, who has her power stripped away from her when she’s kidnapped by Teddy Gatz (Jesse Plemons) and his cousin, Don (Aidan Delbis).
Teddy has a grudge against Michelle over a clinical trial that left his mother, Sandy (Alicia Silverstone), comatose. He’s also come to believe that Michelle is secretly an alien who is preparing Earth for conquest by her people. We’re initially meant to believe that the whole mythology that Teddy has constructed around Michelle is his break from reality. But certain things about Michelle seem off as she fights for her life against this maniac. Could Teddy be right? Is Michelle really an alien?
Bugonia is streaming on Peacock.
‘Him’ (2025)
Him wasn’t directed by Jordan Peele, but he executive-produced this horror film, and it feels like his fingerprints are all over director Justin Tipping‘s second feature film. Tyriq Withers stars as Cameron “Cam” Cade, a college football player whose pro football dreams are in peril following an attack that leaves him at risk for brain damage.
After accepting an invitation to train with his quarterback idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), Cam sees and experiences bizarre things that seem more at home in a cult than a professional football environment. In this world that he’s walked into, it’s not enough for Cam to be a gifted athlete. He has to give himself over to the program, and it might just end up costing him his soul. Some people would make that deal without even a second thought. But there’s more on the line for Cam than just glory in sports.
Him is streaming on Peacock.
‘Violent Night’ (2022)
This is the last week that Violent Night will be in season until 2026, so it’s time to let these sleigh bells slay. David Harbour‘s Santa Claus isn’t the same appropriation of Saint Nicholas that you see on the side of a Coke bottle. In Violent Night, Santa was once a mighty Viking warrior before he became the world’s delivery service for toys every Christmas.
Just when Santa is ready to pack it in and cancel Christmas for good, a group of thieves led by Scrooge (John Leguizamo) invades the home of a wealthy woman, Gertrude Lightstone (Beverly D’Angelo), and her extended family. Gertrude’s granddaughter, Trudy (Leah Brady), is such a firm believer in Santa and what he stands for that he can’t turn a blind eye to her plight. It turns out that Santa’s toys are just as lethal as killing instruments as any weapon of war. And you’ve never seen Candy Canes used like this.
Violent Night is streaming on Peacock.
