Three Democrats in the House of Representatives have quietly withdrawn their names from the list of co-sponsors of the articles of impeachment filed against President Trump on Tuesday, according to a report.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, Rep. Robin Kelly, and Rep. Kweisi Mfume each dropped their support for Rep. Shri Thanedar’s impeachment resolution, which was filed earlier this week after finding out the filing was not approved by party bigwigs, according to The Hill.

“Congressman Mfume removed himself as a cosponsor from H. Res. 353 because he was made aware it was not cleared by Democratic leadership and not fully vetted legally — and he preferred to err on the side of caution,” a spokesperson for the 76-year-old told the outlet.

“The Congresswoman was under the impression that the resolution was drafted and reviewed by both the House Judiciary Committee and Leadership when she originally signed on during a vote series on the floor,” a rep for Kelly said to The Hill.

Representative Nadler did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.

But one remaining co-sponsor for the seemingly premature legislation is doubling down. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) maintained that Trump “violated the Constitution.”

On Monday, the Thanedar officially filed paperwork — including seven articles of impeachment — based on the Trump administration’s failure to accommodate the repatriation of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

“Donald Trump has already done real damage to our Democracy — but defying the unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court ruling? That has to be the final straw,” Thanedar, 70, said in a monologue posted to X.

“It’s time we impeached Donald J. Trump,” the congressman declared on the president’s 100th day in office.

The president quickly shot back at the congressman at a rally in Michigan.

“Some guy that I’ve never heard of… is he a congressman?” Trump said to the MAGA crowd celebrating the first 100 days of his second term.

“What the hell did I do? Here we go again,” Trump said, further calling Thanedar a lunatic.

Democratic party leadership doesn’t believe it’s currently the proper moment to try and remove the recently elected president, according to the report.

“Impeachment is, at times, a tool that can be used. This president is no stranger to that — he’s been impeached twice,” chair of the House Democratic Caucus Rep. Peter Aguilar (Calif.) said, The Hill reported.

“But we don’t have any confidence that House and Senate Republicans would do their jobs. And so this is not an exercise that we’re willing to undertake,” the 45-year-old concluded.

Thanedar is familiar with being left hung out to dry — as the former pharmaceutical executive previously abandoned 118 test beagles at AniClin Preclinical Services lab in New Jersey back in 2010.

Laid-off lab workers from the congressman’s bankrupt company were forced to climb the facility’s fences to save the poor pups from dying of starvation and thirst as they remained trapped in their cages, HuffPost reported at the time.

Neither Congresswoman Kelly’s office nor Congressman Mfume’s office responded to The Post’s requests for comment.
