The new shows on HBO Max in February 2026 are bringing an international flavor to the streamer.
American fans still have fresh episodes of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Industry to enjoy this month.
But if you’re looking for something fresh, HBO is releasing a high-profile original from Italy and the second season of a Mexican hit.
You can find some of those series among Watch With Us‘ selections for the three must-watch HBO Max shows you need to stream in February.
‘Neighbors’ (2026)
There’s an old expression that says, “good fences make good neighbors.” Judging by the trailer for Neighbors, there are no fences good enough to keep these conflicts from spilling over into each other’s properties. Technically, Neighbors is a reality series and a documentary rather than a comedy. And yet the people profiled here come off as such caricatures that it’s going to be hard not to laugh.
Each episode centers on a heated dispute between different sets of neighbors, occasionally for the most random and bizarre reasons. You may enjoy the unintentional comedy that comes from these personality clashes, but it’s more likely you’ll be glad these aren’t the neighbors you have to deal with personally.
Neighbors will premiere on HBO Max on February 13.
‘Like Water for Chocolate’ (2024 – Present)
HBO Max’s adaptation of Laura Esquivel‘s Like Water for Chocolate is returning for its second and final season this month. Unless you speak and understand Spanish, you may want to turn on the subtitles for this show. Salma Hayek executive produces this series, which stars Azul Guaita as Tita, a woman who is bound by tradition to forgo love and marriage and take care of her mother, Elena (Regina Torné), as long as she’s alive.
Tita has an almost supernatural ability to convey her feelings and emotions through the dishes she makes in her kitchen. And despite her circumstances, season 2 presents Tita with a potential way out by marrying John Brown (Mario Iván Martínez). However, that’s complicated by the return of her one true love, Pedro (Andrés Baida). And no matter which man Tita chooses, someone’s heart will be broken.
Like Water for Chocolate season 2 will premiere on HBO Max on February 15.
‘Portobello’ (2026)
To close out the month, HBO Max is premiering an Italian-language original series, Portobello. This show is based on the true story of Enzo Tortora (Fabrizio Gifuni), a man who was once one of Italy’s most famous television performers and the host of the variety show Portobello. In 1983, Tortora was accused of being a member of the Italian mafia.
Rather than being an easy charge to dismiss, Tortora faced multiple accusations, and Italian prosecutors were determined to see him put in prison. His guilt or innocence was hotly debated in the court of public opinion, but Tortora was the one who had to pay the price for the lies that threatened to derail his career and lock him away from society.
Portobello will premiere on HBO Max on February 20.
