Zach Bryan’s Ex-Girlfriend Deb Peifer Seemingly Weighs In on His Split From Brianna Chickenfry

Zach Bryan’s ex-girlfriend Deb Peifer has appeared to enter the chat.

“I don’t really think that, like I have to say this, but I kind of think I want to. I’m not 100 percent sure yet, honestly,” Peifer said in a TikTok video posted on Thursday, October 24. “But I just want to be clear on the fact that I don’t find any gratification in other people hurting. Specifically other women hurting. I feel like I’ve seen some comments on my personal social media pages alluding to the fact that I do, and I don’t.”

She continued, “I just wanted to make sure that was clear.”

Fans were quick to assume that Peifer was subtly addressing Bryan’s recent split from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, even though she didn’t mention any names.

“I think that emotions are so nuanced and so complicated, but I don’t feel better because other people are hurting in any capacity,” Peifer added. “I don’t think you should either, but that’s your journey.”

Bryan started dating Peifer at some point following his 2021 divorce from ex-wife, Rose Madden. The “Something in the Orange” singer announced in May 2023 that he and Peifer had split. Two months later, he and LaPaglia took their relationship public.

Bryan and LaPaglia were together for a little over a year before he announced their breakup in an Instagram Story earlier this week.

“I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” the singer wrote, in part, on Tuesday, October 22. “She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.”

LaPaglia claimed she was “blindsided” by the split announcement in a YouTube video posted on Tuesday. She has since decided to take a break from the internet. (Us Weekly reached out to Bryan and LaPaglia at the time of their breakup.)

“How can you, like, give every ounce of yourself to someone and then, like, be discarded of in a few days,” she said. “It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now.”

LaPaglia revealed that she and Bryan broke up on Monday, October 21. A source has since told Us that LaPaglia was “devastated” after seeing Bryan’s apparent Raya profile.

“They had just moved in together in the Spring, and she changed her whole life to accommodate his,” the insider added. “He has denied all the allegations but still agreed they should split.”
