Saoirse Ronan is giving a rare glimpse into married life with husband Jack Lowden.

The Irish actress appeared on the Thursday, November 7, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new movie Blitz. Host Jimmy Fallon opened the interview by congratulating Ronan on her July nuptials to the Slow Horses actor.

“I got married. I’m 30 now. I’m old!” Ronan gave Fallon an update on her life since her last appearance on The Tonight Show.

Actors Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden generally keep their relationship on the private side, but have started to offer fans a look at their love via social media. Later in the interview, Ronan and Fallon, 50, reflected on the actress’ 2018 appearance on the late-night talk show, during which they sang a rendition of The Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York.”

The stroll down memory lane prompted the four-time Oscar nominee to share a sweet anecdote about her husband.

“I’ve been desperate for myself and my husband Jack to do a cheesy karaoke duet,” she shared. “It’s ‘Shallow’ from A Star is Born. I want him to be my Bradley [Cooper], and I’ll be his [Lady] Gaga. And he won’t do it. He hasn’t committed. And I’m sort of like, well, what’s marriage for? You know what I mean? What are we doing here?”

Ronan and Lowden were first linked together in 2018 after costarring in the movie Mary Queen of Scots, however, the couple have taken great care to keep their romance private over the years.

The Little Women star recently spoke about her husband while discussing their collaboration on the film The Outrun, which they both produced and Ronan stars in.

“He handed the book to me, and he said, ‘You have to play this,’” Ronan told the Times of London in October, referring to Amy Liptrot’s 2016 memoir on which the movie is based.

“If you find people that you love and you trust creatively, why would you not want to keep working with them?” Ronan said of Lowden in the same profile. While she didn’t discuss their relationship, Ronan did call Lowden her “comrade,” explaining that they have “very high expectations for one another.”
