Although she probably has a ton of potential suitors vying for her attention, Miss Universe Victoria Kjaer Theilvig isn’t quite open to dating right now.

“I’m single and I’m going to be the rest of my reign as well,” Theilvig, 21, explained to Us Weekly. “My focus is all about Miss Universe right now, so this is what I prioritize.”

Theilvig, dubbed the “Barbie Miss Universe,” was crowned the 73rd Miss Universe on Saturday, November 16, in Mexico City. She was the first Danish contestant to take home the tiara — and the first blonde victor in over 20 years.

“Since my crowning on September 1st as Miss Universe Denmark, I have been called the Barbie, but for me, it’s a really big compliment — because Barbie is all about women empowerment and that is really what I’m standing for,” she told Us. “And being able to be a blonde Miss Universe, that has nothing to do with your hair color, but all about your personality. I didn’t win because of my blonde hair, but for who I am.”

Although she started doing pageants at 17, Theilvig has been interested in the pageant scene since she was five years old — and has some important advice to parents whose children are interested in entering the fray.

“My message to parents all around the world who are maybe a little bit critical about beauty pageants is …support your daughters — beauty pageants are so much more than just embracing beauty,” she explained.

Theilvig argued that pageants are about “embracing your inner beauty” along with your “qualities and education as a person.”

“I feel like I have a bubbly, energetic personality,” she told Us. “And maybe people don’t see that at first because as soon as I’m really comfortable — then I will show how bubbly and fun I am. People think I’m a little serious at first, but I think I showcased this year that I just love being surrounded by people.”

After being crowned Miss Universe, Theilvig didn’t have a ton of time to celebrate as she explained that there was a “lot of work to do” — but she did get to see some of her family members.
