Andy Cohen is raising his glasses high to the Vanderpump Rules cast.
After Bravo announced that the show will return for a 12th season with a brand-new group of cast members, Cohen, 56, paid tribute to the group that started it all.
“These were the best days of our lives…” he wrote via X on Tuesday, November 26, while quoting lyrics from the show’s theme song.
The network revealed on Tuesday that season 12 will feature Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.” The new season begins production in 2025, with a premiere date and cast to be announced.
“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump, 64, said in a statement on Tuesday. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
Vanderpump Rules started as a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when it debuted in 2013. The show continued to produce plenty of drama — including the shocking Scandoval affair that closed out season 10.
This year, however, the show decided to take an extended pause before filming season 12. (The only other time Vanderpump Rules didn’t film over the summer was during the Covid pandemic in 2020.)
As fans questioned the future of the show, many original cast members remained hopeful that filming would pick up again.
“I’m excited to see what the future holds,” Tom Sandoval told Us Weekly on November 15 when attending the 6th annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala. “I think when we come back, it’s going to be different. And, you know, what I’ve learned to do is just accept the future with open arms and see what happens. It’s all we can do.”
Tom Schwartz echoed the hopeful sentiment when he supported Vanderpump’s charity event in Beverly Hills.
“I don’t know what the future holds. I’m optimistic. I’d love to film again,” he told Us. “This is my family. I’ve been through everything so much in the past 14 years. I kind of grew up on camera, even though we started when I was in my late 20s. In a way, I sort of grew up and I love everybody.”
Along with Sandoval and Schwartz, Vanderpump Rules has featured Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder over the years.
