The Reagans came together to protect New York City in the epic and emotional Blue Bloods series finale after a madman threatened to put all their lives in danger.

Warning: Spoilers below for Blue Bloods season 14, episode 18.

The Friday, December 13, episode began with the murder of an NYC judge, which sent shockwaves through the city. As Detectives Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) started to look into the killing, beat cops Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) and Luis Badillo (Ian Quinlan) responded to a carjacking call heard over the radio.

Eddie and Badillo are ambushed by gunmen on motorcycles as soon as they get out of their vehicle — and they’re both shot. Across town, two men on a different motorcycle fire at Mayor Chase (Dylan Walsh), who is rushed to the hospital.

At the Assistant District Attorney’s office, Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and her coworkers are surprised to receive a menacing video from a masked man saying that the gangs of New York are united and prepared to continue to kill officials and officers unless certain prisoners are released.

Everyone soon realizes that their cases are all connected, with the Ace Double Tres (ADT) gang and Carlos Ramirez (Manny Perez) at the center of the mayhem.

Before the mayor goes into surgery for his injuries, he gives Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) the keys to the city and tells him to “get us out of this.” Frank does just that and uses all the resources at his disposal, which includes Erin asking her ex-husband, Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann), to pull a few strings and get him a sit-down with prisoner Lorenzo Batista (Edward James Olmos), whose son shot the mayor.

Despite being worried about his wife, Eddie, who survived her attack, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes), worked with his nephew Joe Hill (Will Hochman) to track down one of the shooters. Badillo, unfortunately, does not make it.

The cast of Blue Bloods doesn’t just play a family on TV, they’ve become a tight-knit group since the show first premiered in 2010. The CBS series follows the lives of the Reagan family helmed by Tom Selleck’s Commissioner Frank Reagan. Frank’s father, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou), sits opposite him at the group’s weekly Sunday […]

Eddie, meanwhile, doesn’t stay down long and jumps back into action after Ramirez’s daughter — who fans met earlier this season — called her and said her dad was scaring her. After his own brush with death, Danny tracked down Ramirez, saved his daughter and took him into custody (using his usual charm and pull as a father himself).

Jamie and Joe eventually track down the gunman who shot Badillo when he came to visit his newborn baby at the hospital. Before taking him away, Jamie called for Eddie to cuff him, which she did using Badillo’s police cuffs. The mayor’s shooter was also found and apprehended.

After a troubling few days, the Reagans get all the bad guys responsible for the threats and shootings. Following Badillo’s police funeral — which everyone attended — the family celebrated their win with a family dinner.

In addition to Frank, Danny, Erin, Jamie and Eddie, grandpa Henry Reagan (Len Cariou) and Frank’s grandchildren, Nicky (Sami Gayle), Jack (Tony Terraciano) and Sean (Andrew Terracino), all had seats at the table. Erin’s on-again, off-again partner Jack was also sitting beside her.

“We’ve got a lot to be thankful for. Looking around this table, I gotta say, I couldn’t be more proud and grateful,” Frank gushed before they all said grace one last time.

Scroll down to find out where each of the OG Reagans stand at the end of Blue Bloods’ 14-season run:

Frank Reagan

Frank happily handed the keys to the city back to the mayor after saving the day with the help of his family and officers. He then attended Badillo’s funeral with all of his loved ones beside him and shared a sweet message to Badillo’s mother. “Please take a good look around you, Luis’ whole family is here with you today,” he said as tears fell over the crowd.

Frank remained at the head of his family table to conclude the series — and was still the police commissioner of New York City.

Henry Reagan

Henry stayed out of trouble throughout the finale but did offer his eldest grandson, Danny, some sage advice about his love life. At the end of the episode, Henry was happy and healthy, still living with his son, Frank.

Danny Reagan

During his hunt for Ramirez and his daughter, Danny has a heart-to-heart with Henry about his personal life. “I always told you not to bring the job home,” Henry reminded Danny, noting that the “problem now is you have no one not to bring it home to.” He then told Danny to promise him he’d “find that someone” after this case.

Danny heard his grandpa loud and clear, later asking out his work partner, Baez, on what appeared to be a date. “You wanna get a pizza?” Danny said before the two left the precinct arm in arm.

Erin Reagan

After Jack helped the Reagan family as a favor to Erin, the pair went for a walk. Erin and Jack, who were divorced but had been seeing each other again, took a trip down memory lane, remembering how they’re a good team.

“We tried marriage, remember?” Jack reminded Erin, who replied, “Yeah, and despite our best efforts, we’re still here. One foot in and one foot out. Maybe we try both feet?”

She pointed out that “everyone deserves a second chance” and promised it will be “different this time.” Erin then proposed, “Party of two? City Hall? Tell everybody about it after the fact?”

Jack agreed, and during the family dinner, Erin said she had an announcement, hinting at the pair’s secret marriage. However, after Jamie and Eddie shared their own big news, Erin chose to keep hers quiet, giving Jack a knowing look at the table.

Jamie Reagan

Jamie and Joe successfully worked together to track down a suspect, which was a heartwarming moment as Jamie previously gave Joe a car belonging to his late dad and Jamie’s brother, Joe Reagan, earlier this season.

The collab was even more emotional after Jamie almost lost his wife to the shooting. Luckily, Jamie and Eddie were both safe to close out the series. Eddie was, however, late to family dinner — and everyone noticed.

When she finally arrived, she was carrying a highchair to add to the table. “We’re going to use it when the baby’s born,” Jamie revealed. Eddie confirmed her pregnancy, saying her due date was in June.
