Drake is the latest celebrity to support a lookalike contest in his honor.

The rapper, 38, said he would award $10,000 to the winner of a contest held in his hometown of Toronto on Saturday, December 14.

After Toronto’s Casuals Bakery announced the lookalike competition, the “God’s Plan” rapper hit up the eatery on Instagram last week. “I’m adding 10 bands to the look alike contest … as the main prize,” Drake said in a direct message shared publicly by the bakery on Thursday, December 12.

The proprietor of Casuals wrote alongside a screenshot of the exchange, “I can barely type and a whole shock went through my body. But yes this is true and real & I hope the Drake doppelgängers ready 🔥 LETSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOO.”

Giving back. Celebrities may be beloved by people around the world, but it’s not a one-sided relationship. Saturday’s lookalike contest was won by a female fan who wore pigtails like the ones Drake was seen sporting in October and a drawn-on beard, per a video shared by the bakery.

The Drake lookalike contest follows similar contests around the world celebrating the likes of Timothee Chalamet, Paul Mescal, Glen Powell, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles.

Dune star Chalamet crashed his lookalike contest in New York City’s Washington Square Park in October. Chalamet appeared to have snuck into the crowd wearing a baseball cap and black mask before eventually revealing himself and stopping to pose for photos with excited fans.

Miles Mitchell, a Staten Island-based contestant who dressed up as Willy Wonka, won the event. Mitchell, 21, told Us Weekly he would “buy a bunch of chocolate” with his winnings.

In November, Hit Man star Powell, 36, promised the winner of a lookalike contest held in Austin, Texas, a cameo in his next movie for a family member.

“Look, I know there is some cash and a hat at stake here, but I just want to say that the winner of today’s contest gets a personal prize from me,” Powell said in a video shared via X. “Now you may know that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make, but today, the winner of the Glen Powell lookalike contest wins their parents, or any family member of their choice, a cameo in my next movie. I am completely serious.”

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Max Braunstein won the competition and took part in a post-ceremony video chat with Powell. Photos captured by the outlet revealed that contestants arrived in cowboy hat-clad costumes that nodded to Powell’s character in Twisters, Tyler Owens.
