President-elect Donald Trump claimed Friday that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates had asked to come to his Mar-a-Lago estate — in a cryptic message that some even speculated was meant for Elon Musk’s eyes only.

“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT,” the incoming president wrote in a mysterious post on Truth Social.

Netizens wondered whether the missive had been meant just for Musk, Trump’s closest confidant at the Palm Beach, Fla., resort during the transition, given the personal tone — “We miss you and x!” — and direct request for attendance — “come, tonight.”

X is also nickname for Musk’s son, X Æ A-Xii, who the tech magnate has hoisted on his shoulders and brought along with him to meetings on Capitol Hill and for Trump’s watch party at Mar-a-Lago when he won the 2024 election.

Gates’ press team did not immediately respond when asked whether he had requested a sit-down with the soon-to-be 47th president in Florida, where top business leaders like Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have dined in the lead-up to Inauguration Day.

Trump’s team also did not explain the message.

The post is reminiscent of Trump’s famous “covfefe” tweet that went viral during his first term in the Oval Office.

“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” Trump posted on Twitter in May 2017. He deleted the post hours later — but social media users have pondered ever since whether the term was a typo for “coverage” or something else.

“I think the President and a small group of people know exactly what he meant,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer said at the time, without clarifying.

Trump, 78, has hosted massive New Year’s Eve parties at Palm Beach in the past, and the Truth Social post hints at another big bash this upcoming Tuesday.

Gates met with Trump back in 2016 before his first presidential term.

The billionaire was one of a handful to say that Trump should allowed to be back on Twitter after being banned for his posts relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

“I think at some point he probably will be allowed back on and probably should be allowed back on,” he told CNBC in February 2021.
