One of the illegal migrants who allegedly killed a Mexican border agent when he asked to see their identification papers has been linked to the violent Venezuelan prison gang, Tren de Aragua — as it was revealed the immigration official was brutally beaten with a rock.

The federal agent, identified as Luis Alberto Olivas García, was ambushed by a group of three migrants at a checkpoint in the northern state of Chihuahua on Dec. 30, according to Mexico’s National Migration Institute.

The trio — two Venezuelan nationals and a Columbian national — allegedly pushed Olivas García down a hill after he intercepted them across the border from El Paso, Texas, a Mexican court heard Monday, according to Border Report.

One of the Venezuelan migrants then allegedly grabbed a rock and bashed the federal agent in the head until he died, the outlet reported.

A Mexican police official also revealed that one of the accused migrant killers had tattoos linked to Tren de Aragua, the vicious gang that has expanded its territory to at least 19 US states after crossing the besieged southern border.

“One of them has the tattoos that we have identified as probably linked to Tren de Aragua,” Chihuahua Public Safety Director Gilberto Loya said in an interview with Border Report.

“We have shared this information with other agencies and are waiting for the next binational meeting to have it checked in [American] databases,” Loya added.

The disturbing attack came as Tren de Aragua gangbangers have been mobbing the border in El Paso and threatening to attack troops patrolling the US side, according to a Texas law enforcement memo recently leaked to The Post.

In one recent bum rush attempt, 20 Venezuelan gangbangers tried to violently break through the border while carrying blades, tire irons and broken liquor bottles.

The pressure has been mounting at the border ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration and looming immigration crackdown.

Members of the prison gang have unleashed a wave of crime across the US after mostly sneaking across the US-Mexico border into Texas by posing as asylum seekers.

Some of the gangbangers have been linked to high-profile migrant crimes, such as the murders of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley and 12-year-old Houston native Jocelyn Nungaray.
