Pregnant Soccer Star Alex Morgan Uses Tiny Nikes to Reveal Sex of Baby No. 2: ‘Excited to Finally Share’

Alex Morgan is sharing major baby news, revealing the sex of her second child.

On Thursday, January 23, the retired soccer star took to Instagram to share an update on her pregnancy.

“We are two months out from baby No. 2,” Morgan told her followers. But admits she “hasn’t even gotten started yet, not even close. It’s giving baby No. 2 energy.”

However, while her second child’s nursery isn’t organized, yet, Morgan admits a lot has changed since she first welcomed a child into the world. Morgan is also a mom to 4-year-old daughter Charlie, whom she shares with her husband Servando Carrasco.

“There are so many products that are since I went through this whole process with Charlie” and shared some of the new products she has on her Babylist registry. At the end of the video, Morgan showed off a pair of “cute little Nikes” that revealed the sex of her second child.

“They’re adorable. Of course, every baby is not complete without some Nikes,” Morgan continued holding up the tiny blue and white shoes.

“Charlie’s going to be a big sister. We’re having a little boy,” Morgan shared. “We’re so excited to finally share with you guys.”

On September 5, Morgan took to Instagram to make an emotional statement, announcing her retirement from soccer.

“I’m going to get to the point quickly,” Morgan began her announcement.

“I’m retiring and I have so much clarity about this decision. It’s been a longtime coming and this decision wasn’t easy.”

“Soccer’s been a part of me for 30 years,” Morgan told her fans. “It was one of the first things that I ever loved.”

“I gave everything to this sport,” Morgan continued. “And what I got in return is more than anything I could have ever dreamed of.”

“Success for me is defined by never giving up and giving your all,” Morgan said in her statement after being left off the Olympic team this year. “And I did just that.”

At the end of her retirement announcement, Morgan also revealed she is pregnant with her second child. “As unexpected as this came, we are so overjoyed.”
