Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil’s private jet crashed into another plane Monday, February 10, killing a pilot and injuring Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andreani.

The collision occurred at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday afternoon, per multiple reports including TMZ and Sky News.

Neil was not on board, a representative for the singer said in a statement shared via the band’s Instagram account Monday.

“At 2:39 p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at the Scottsdale Airport. For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane,” the statement said.

“More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today,” the statement continued.

Scottsdale Fire Department spokesperson Captain Dave Folio confirmed Monday that one person died and four were injured in the collision, per AZ Central.

An earlier statement shared by the band via Instagram, which has since been deleted, identified the plane’s pilot as the sole fatality.

“While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families of both the pilot who lost his life and the passengers who suffered injuries,” the band said in a now-deleted Instagram statement, per Sky News. “Motley Crue will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot – stand by for an announcement very soon.”

According to TMZ, Andreani, Neil’s girlfriend, suffered five broken ribs, while her friend also sustained injuries. The dogs the two women were traveling with survived the crash as well. Both women and the jet’s co-pilot were taken to the hospital.

Neil’s plane collided with another business after veering off the runway at Scottsdale Airport. The plane was arriving from Austin, Texas.

“A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona around 2:45 p.m.,” the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement, per AZ Central. “There were four people on board the Learjet and one person on board the Gulfstream.”
