After the latest episode of 9-1-1, fans can’t stop talking about the heart-stopping procedural drama.
Viewers of the Ryan Murphy-produced drama series were stunned when the lead character, Captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause), heroically gave away the only vaccine after being exposed to a deadly virus, leading to his death.
The series, which follows the first responders of Los Angeles, will certainly be changed forever by the loss of Bobby. His wife, Athena Grant-Nash (Angela Bassett), will be left to deal with the devastating consequences of her husband’s brave sacrifice. But the world of 9-1-1 has expanded far beyond Bobby and Athena’s story.

How Many Spinoffs of ‘9-1-1’ Are There?
9-1-1: Lone Star ran for five seasons between 2020 and 2025. The series finale of the Rob Lowe drama aired in February 2025, but more content is on its way to replace it — 9-1-1: Nashville is set to premiere on ABC in the 2025-2026 TV season.

The main cast of 9-1-1 consists of the following actors:
Angela Bassett as Athena Grant-Nash (née Carter), LAPD patrol sergeant, Bobby’s wife.
Peter Krause starred as Robert “Bobby” Nash, LAFD Station 118 captain, Athena’s second husband, until Season 8, episode 15.
Oliver Stark (Into the Badlands) as Evan “Buck” Buckley, firefighter.
Jennifer Love Hewitt (Can’t Hardly Wait) as Maddie Han (née Buckley), Buck’s sister and 911 dispatcher, Chimney’s wife (season 2–present).

Is ‘Doctor Odyssey’ a ‘9-1-1’ Spinoff?
Doctor Odyssey, another procedural show produced by Murphy, is not technically a spinoff, but it does have a crossover episode with 9-1-1. Odyssey stars Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek) as Dr. Max Bankman, an onboard doctor for a cruise ship, and in episode 11 of the medical show, Bassett’s Sgt. Grant-Nash gets stuck on the ship while chasing a criminal. She works with Dr. Bankman and Nurse Avery Morgan (Phillippa Soo, Hamilton) to catch the culprit.
