An NYPD patrol car struck two pedestrians seated outside an upper Manhattan eatery after swerving to avoid a collision with a Manhattan taxi Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

The chaos erupted as the police cruiser, with lights flashing and sirens blaring, was traveling north on Broadway in Morningside Heights around 4:10 p.m. when a cab heading south attempted a leisurely left turn onto West 112th Street, an NYPD spokesperson told The Post.

The squad car, carrying three officers and a 32-year-old passenger, attempted to dodge the taxi when it hit a 63-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman seated at an outdoor dining area.

The two diners, along with the individuals in the police vehicle, were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The 37-year-old cab driver was given a summons for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

It was not immediately clear if authorities were responding to a call when the incident unfolded.

Additionally, police did not release any information regarding the passenger they were transporting.

The investigation is ongoing.
