Olympian Ilona Maher Jokes She Has Kylie and Jason Kelce’s 1st Date Story Memorized

Ilona Maher has a soft spot for Kylie and Jason Kelce‘s love story, just like Us.

Kylie, 32, took her rightful place as the “fourth Maher sister” during the Tuesday, June 24, episode of Ilona’s “House of Maher” podcast, cohosted by the Olympian’s siblings, Olivia and Adrianna Maher. Ilona, 28, admitted that she knows one aspect of Kylie’s personal life a little too well at this point.

“You know what’s funny is I can pretty much tell the story of how you and Jason met ’cause [of] the amount of times you have to share it,” the rugby star teased.

Kylie, 32, joked that Ilona probably isn’t the only one who’s “sick of hearing about the Kelces,” but the athlete wasn’t fazed. She seamlessly launched into a quick retelling of Kylie’s first date with Jason, 37.

“She was on an app and then she went and met him at the bar and he was so drunk, right?” Ilona said. “But she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen in his life. I can tell it.”

Impressed, Kylie — who welcomed her fourth daughter with Jason earlier this year — teased that she should bring Ilona with her the next time she has to tell the story.

Since she found her perfect match in Jason, Ilona asked Kylie whether she had any tips for the Maher sisters when it comes to dating as “bigger, tall women.” Unlike Ilona — who has previously expressed a fondness for “short kings” — Kylie admitted she “always” was on the hunt for a partner that’s taller than she is.

“I think having a dad that was so much taller than me, being around people in our family — even my aunts are significantly taller,” she explained. “I was like, ‘This is something I’m not gonna waiver on. I’m gonna hold firm.’ But you know what, short kings, they love to be like, ‘I’mma climb that tree.’”

Kylie also pointed out that the world of dating apps was very different when she met Jason on Tinder in 2015. While his height played into her decision to swipe right, Kylie was also drawn to his humor.

“His bio was extremely sarcastic,” she recalled. “It was like, ‘I wanna have long conversations and talk about having babies’ or something. … Joke’s on him because we did all of that.”

Earlier this year, Kylie revealed the exact pickup line she used to start her conversation with Jason — and even shared his feedback.

“I said, ‘I need LifeAlert. I’ve fallen for you and I can’t get up,’” she said on the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast in January. “He messaged back and was like, ‘No, you gotta try harder.’ I then messaged, ‘If I told you I work for UPS, would you let me handle your package?’ He was like, ‘Much better. I like that one a lot better.’ … And here we are, almost four kids later.”

The couple tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed daughter Wyatt one year later. Daughters Ellie and Bennett followed in 2021 and 2023, respectively, before Finn’s arrival in March.
