Beverley Mitchell Warned Justin Timberlake When He Started Dating Jessica Biel

Beverley Mitchell had a warning message for Justin Timberlake when he first started a relationship with Jessica Biel.

Mitchell, 44, recalled on the Monday, July 7, episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast when she would run around with the NSYNC bandmates — including Timberlake, now 44, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass — and their bodyguards. Mitchell noted that she’s “still very good friends” with “all of them.”

“It’s very funny that one of them ended up marrying my best friend,” she said, referring to Biel, now 43, and Timberlake. “I give Jessie so much crap because she used to make fun of me. She’s like, ‘You’re just hanging out with the NSYNC boys again,’ and I’m like, ‘Dude, they’re fun, we have fun.’ And she used to think I was so silly and lame and I’m like, ‘Now you’re married to one.’”

When the pair began dating, Mitchell — who starred on 7th Heaven alongside Biel from 1996 to 2007 — said Timberlake’s mom asked her about his new love interest.

“‘OK, Bev, tell me about her,’” Mitchell recalled Lynn Bomar Harless asking. “And I was like, ‘If he hurts her, I’ll kill him.’ And she’s like, ‘OK, so you love her?’ And I’m like, ‘I do. She is my sister.’ Those were the good times.”

Timberlake and Biel began dating in 2007, tying the knot five years later. The couple welcomed sons Silas and Phineas in 2015 and 2020, respectively.

“Jessica and Justin are spending more time together and are happier and more relaxed,” the insider told Us later that year. “Justin has taken time to reevaluate his priorities. He hasn’t been going out as much and is staying in more with Jessica and the kids.”

The source shared that Timberlake is “finding new ways to connect” with his friends and family while Biel is being supportive, but holding him accountable as they “rebuild trust.”

“Jessica is showing patience and compassion while also maintaining firm expectations of him,” the insider noted, adding that the pair are “prioritizing their strength as a family.”
