After appearing on partner Chrishell Stause‘s hit Netflix series Selling Sunset, G Flip explained why they find the show to be “uncomfortable” for them.

“We’ve never thought about [starring on a reality show together]. I don’t think that’s something we want to do right now,” G Flip, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly. “But maybe down the road.”

G Flip noted that reality TV has been “quite uncomfortable” for them, adding, “It’s not natural and you don’t find it natural. Chrishell and everyone on Selling Sunset are such guns at it. But [for me] sitting in a room and being asked to have a normal conversation while there’s eight cameras around and lighting, I found it really, really tough.”

A possible show focused on G Flip and Stause, 43, would have to be different.

Chrishell Stause’s romance with G Flip is one even the Selling Sunset star didn’t see coming. Stause started seeing G Flip after her split from Jason Oppenheim in late 2021. Their whirlwind romance was documented on season 5 of the Netflix show, but the twosome split when the Oppenheim Group boss decided he didn’t want […]

“I would want to make sure it didn’t feel so tough to be myself because I’ve got to feel comfortable to then put my life and me and Chrishell’s love and our story out there,” G Flip explained to Us. “So I found it hard.”

Selling Sunset, which debuted in 2019, follows employees at high-end Los Angeles real estate brokerage the Oppenheim Group. The Netflix series boasts expensive homes, but it is the drama between the cast that keeps viewers coming back for more.

Stause has been a main cast member since the show premiered. But G Flip noted that there’s a lot of emotional labor that comes with putting your life out there.

“She comes home and then I’m always there to lift her spirits back up because she’ll come home and be like, ‘Oh my God, you’re not going to believe what’s happened,’” G Flip recalled. “And I’m always there with a shoulder to cry on or to just help her or talk through the situation. It’s a stressful job.”

Over the years, Stause has been able to highlight her love story with G Flip after they started dating in 2022. The pair were together for more than a year before announcing their surprise nuptials in May 2023 and they have since renewed their vows. Stause and G Flip have continued to support each other whether that is on their journey to have a baby or in their professional careers.

“She hears everything first, of course,” G Flip shared while discussing their upcoming third studio-length album. “She’ll be like, ‘That one’s good. You need to finish that one, or please can that one go on the album?’ She really fights for songs sometimes.”

G Flip continued: “There is one on the album that she really likes. She said to me, ‘How much can I buy it [for]? I can release it myself,’” G Flip teased. “She really went hard on it. She’s so sweet and so supportive and loves music, and her dad was a drummer … and she loves live shows. It’s sweet.”

After dropping their most recent single “Big Ol’ Hammer,” G Flip recalled Stause’s initial reaction.

“I would hear her like, ‘Woo’ [and] her cheers. She was watching the little screen we had, so she was there, and she was so cute,” they told Us. “She bought everyone food and drinks, and [she] bought tequila and chicken and chips. She was so great, and her support is always so lovely. She’s such an angel of a human being.”

G Flip’s new album drops later this year, and their newest single, “Big Ol’ Hammer,” is out now.
