Jason Kelce shared some heartwarming details about his relationship with his brother and “New Heights” podcast cohost Travis Kelce.

“Travis and I have been close for a long time,” Jason, 37, told reporters at the American Century Championship golf tournament on Saturday, July 12, via Starcade Media. “Now with the [“New Heights”] podcast, we talk to each other more than we ever have.”

The Kelce brothers were joined by their dad, Ed Kelce, at the annual celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. In between puts, Jason chatted about how launching “New Heights” with Travis, 35, in 2022 brought them closer than ever.

“We loved each other growing up. We still love each other,” he said. “Now it’s more like peer to peer, whereas growing up, being the older brother, it was a little bit different.”

While they might be busier than ever, Jason and Travis Kelce are always willing to put family first. The siblings posed together at the 2025 Amazon Upfront in New York City on Monday, May 12, one of many joint appearances they’ve made during the NFL offseason. Speaking to Us Weekly exclusively on the red carpet, […]

Jason added, “Now, he’s my best friend on the planet. We get to talk once a week and our families are close.”

The former Philadelphia Eagles center credited his little bro with being “a great uncle.” (Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce share four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 3 months.)

“I think we try to share the right amount on the internet, the viral moments and whatnot,” he added. “But you also try to keep some of the stuff private. … We’re a family that loves each other, we love being around each other, and it’s good to sit down and talk once a week.”

Earlier this week, Jason confirmed that “New Heights” would soon be taking its usual seasonal break so Travis could concentrate on the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp.

“We have come to the end of the road,” Jason told listeners. “Travis is going to training camp as you all know. Whenever training camp starts, we take a hiatus from the pod, because it’s nearly impossible to do a podcast while somebody’s in training camp.”

“New Heights” will conclude its third season on July 23, though Jason has confirmed there are a few pretaped episodes with special guests that will be released during the podcast’s hiatus.

Elsewhere, Jason has been very supportive of Travis’ whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift, including mentioning on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast in February that he’d seen “staggering” changes in his sibling since the highly-publicized relationship started.

“One of the things I love so much about Travis is that he never grew up,” Jason joked, before clarifying: “It’s changing. I think sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you and that’s a good thing.”

Jason Kelce believes the secret sauce to his hit podcast “New Heights” is his “loving relationship” with his brother, Travis Kelce. The retired NFL star and his sibling recently inked a deal worth a reported nine figures to move their podcast to Wondery, and Jason, 36, credits the show’s enormous success over the last two […]

The NFL star went on, “Trav, he is growing up. He’s still got, though, that youthful enthusiasm. I think he’ll always have that. It’s just part of his personality. … Anyone that’s ever met Trav, you can’t but just love the guy. He’s a free spirit in the best possible way.”

The Kelces are known to cut loose outside of the podcast studio, with Travis and Jason having most recently impressed their fans with a karaoke version of Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” at the kickoff event for the American Century Championship tournament on Thursday, July 10.

The golf event has been held in Lake Tahoe since 1990. Participants in previous years have included Jack Wagner, Steph Curry and Alfonso Ribeiro, while this year’s tournament features the Kelces competing against Josh Allen, Rob McElhenney and more.
