Talk about being a selfish friend.

One bridezilla is being so selective about who is at her wedding that she basically kicked one friend out for being pregnant.

In the infamous r/bridezillas subreddit on Reddit, one frustrated friend shared her experience of losing her spot as maid of honor in a close friend’s wedding because she was four months pregnant.

She explained how her friend got engaged two years ago and had an upcoming wedding. The OP was best friends with this soon-to-be-bride, whom she often had over at her house “multiple times a week.”

“This morning she came over and I asked a question about the wedding and she paused for a minute,” she wrote in the post. “She said, ‘Yeah, about that, I’ve decided I don’t think it’s best for you to be there,’” her friend shockingly said.

“I was shocked because this was out of nowhere and asked why and she told me that although she’s happy for me being pregnant, she thinks that having a pregnant woman right at the alter will take a lot of the spotlight off of her and even just being at the event might cause people to direct their focus on me and not the married couple. I’m floored.”

The friend was clearly upset — and rightfully so. Leave it to the hundreds of Reddit users to offer advice and give validation to this upset OP.

“When my cousin got married, her MOH [maid of honor] was 7.5 months pregnant. No one thought a damn thing about it! Your friend is trash, throw the whole friendship in the dumpster where it belongs, and live your best life with your beautiful babies!”

“If this is true, I wouldn’t let this self-absorbed narcissist anywhere near myself or my family!”

“The level of insecurity of bridezillas is unhinged. Better not have any flowers either, people may look at those instead. And demand that all other guests and participants wear only potato sacks to ensure they don’t outshine.”

This isn’t the first insecure bride who was afraid of being outshone on her wedding day.

One almost-bride got slammed online for purposely picking “awkward” and “unphotogenic’ women as bridesmaids so she’ll look hotter than them.

The sister of he soon-to-be bride also took to Reddit in its infamous AITA forum to share the story.

“Every single one of them is someone she’s either not that close to or has made fun of before for being ‘awkward’ or ‘not photogenic,’” the poster wrote, noting that her sister’s actual best friends weren’t even chosen.

When the bride’s sister pointed out this realization, “She kind of laughed and said, ‘You’ll understand when it’s your wedding. You don’t want people who’ll outshine you in your own pictures.’”
