Olive Garden fans have discovered a soup-er secret menu hack.
OG paisanos have discovered that it’s possible to buy an entire bucket of soup in the restaurant’s four beloved soup varieties — Chicken & Gnocchi, Pasta e Fagioli, Minestrone and Zuppa Toscana.
Videos have recently circulated on social media featuring Olive Garden take-out orders that show a white bucket filled to the brim with soup.
The trick to getting this oversized soup is to order from the catering menu.
Just click on the restaurant’s catering menu online, and after selecting “order now,” you’ll be asked to choose your “order type.” Select the catering option, and you’ll be given options of large servings of Olive Garden favorites.
If you’re ordering to-go by phone or in person, ask for the soup from the catering menu.
There are two large soup options on the catering menu: a half-gallon (six servings) and a full-gallon option (12 servings).
The price per gallon varies depending on the location of the Olive Garden. For example, the location in New York City’s Times Square charges $20.29 for a half-gallon and $31.99 for a gallon of soup.
Olive Garden is glad to see social media highlighting the large-portion offerings, telling TODAY.com, “We’re thrilled to see TikTok shining a light on Olive Garden’s Catering menu, which offers a wide variety of Olive Garden favorites perfect for family gatherings, office parties and more.”
Meanwhile, customers are gulping up the news.
“I saw it on TikTok and it’s been my dream for about an entire week,” said one eager diner on TikTok.
“And this is how I will accomplish having minestrone run through my veins,” joked another.
Other excited soup eaters noted that the catering menu also has a dozen breadsticks starting at around $5, varying by location.
