The husband of a missing mother of three claimed his wife had been detained by ICE agents — but Ring camera footage later showed him dragging a heavy object wrapped in fabric from his home soon before she was found dead in the woods.

The body of Sheylla Guitierrez, 33, was found in the Angeles National Forest on Saturday morning, four days after she was initially reported missing from her apartment in Lancaster, Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.

Guitierrez’s family told ABC7 that her husband Jossimar Cabrera, who is now suspected of killing her, initially gave several excuses regarding her whereabouts — including that ICE had taken her, that she left with another man and that she’s been in an accident — before fleeing the country with their children.

Her body was located by search and rescue teams in an embankment wrapped in a greenish material similar to what the security camera spied Cabrera hauling down a walkway at the family’s apartment building, KTLA reported.

The LA County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine her cause of death.

Cabrera, 36, had since fled to Peru with the couple’s children. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is working with local authorities to have him extradited to the US.

Video obtained by KTLA Tuesday appears to show Cabrera being taken into custody by Peruvian authorities, although it’s unclear if he will be extradited. If returned to the US, he will likely face murder charges, officials said.

“Jossimar Cabrera is currently believed to be in Peru, pending further investigation needed to bring him to justice,” the LASD said in a press release.

The couple’s three children were found safe in Peru and are staying with their maternal grandmother, family members told ABC7.

Gutierrez’s mother told the outlet that her daughter reported her husband for domestic violence in Peru and that the last time they spoke, she told her she would be filing a report against him in the US.
