A woman has taken to TikTok after dealing with some shocking behaviour from her seat neighbor on a flight.
If you thought someone putting back their chair or opening their window was bad, this is on a whole different level.
“I asked her to stop but it was too late”
TikTok user Olivia took to the app this week after waking up to a rude shock from the woman sitting next to her.
Not only was the woman eating nuts – a pretty big no-no on most flights – she was peeling them and throwing them on the floor, as if it were an old-timey steakhouse.
“Just realised that the woman next to me on my flight is peeling nuts and just throwing them on the floor,” she said.
She said she slept through the majority of it – only able to talk to her once the floor was already covered.
“Woke up from a nap to this,” she said.
“I asked her to stop but it was too late… these poor flight attendants.”
“It’s not just gross and disrespectful, it’s dangerous”
Commenters on the video were equally appalled by the act, calling it both disrespectful and dangerous.
“I know people with life-threatening allergies to nuts. It’s not just gross and disrespectful, it’s dangerous,” said one person.
“I’m convinced people are being released from institutions without warning the public,” said another.
“People should get fines for being so disrespectful on planes. That is ridiculous for so many reasons!” another suggested.
“Open your mouth, girl!”
However, there were a few people on the other woman’s side, with some saying this act was part of her culture.
“It’s a cultural thing. It’s their culture,” said one commenter bluntly.
“This is normal in Islam,” another pointed out.
“It’s normal in India,” said a third.
Others even suggested it was the poster’s fault for not speaking up soon enough.
“Open your mouth, girl! Normalise speaking up. What f*cking happened to ppl?? Jesus,” said one person.
“Call the attend and say OUT LOUD what is happening,” another agreed.
