These suspicious passengers got their meal ticket — and a free pass to jail.

A Ryanair flight from Milan, Italy, to London, UK, had to make an emergency landing after “strange” passengers began freaking out and trying to dispose of their passports in unusual ways.

“No one onboard knew what was going on; these people were acting weird,” an anonymous fly-witness told the Daily Star of the wild saga, which occurred while they were returning home after “spending time with friends” abroad.

“Essentially, the flight took off, and 15-20 mins into the flight, once the seatbelt sign was off, something very strange happened at the front of the plane,” the passenger recalled.

According to the traveler, one of the men tore out the pages of his passport and proceeded to eat them, causing everyone aboard to “freak out.”

His partner-in-crime then high-tailed it to the other end of the aircraft and attempted to “flush his passport down the toilet.”

A flight attendant slammed on the door and pleaded with him to open it, but he refused to move, which only led to “more tension,” per the source.

“The air hostess then made a public announcement that was so blunt and to the point,” they continued. “That freaked people out to another level.”

At that point, the pilots decided to divert the flight to Paris, France, with the source describing the descent as “the most terrifying 15 minutes of my life.”

Upon arrival, French authorities boarded the aircraft and arrested the two men before conducting a rigorous bag search.

In total, the process took a whopping two hours, after which the plane was allowed to continue on its way to London Stansted Airport.

The source lauded Ryanair employees for handling the “stressful” situation “amazingly.”

“I think Ryanair [was] brilliant in handling it in a certain way. They gave out drinks towards the end of the flight as we were coming in over Stansted.”

“I’m just really f–king glad I landed.”

The reason for the duo’s spy movie-esque methods of passport disposal remains unclear. The Post reached out to Ryanair for comment.
