Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Packed on PDA in Final Red Carpet Appearance Before Split: See Video

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban looked completely enamored with each other during their last red carpet outing before their split.

The pair attended the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas on May 8 and put their love on display in front of the cameras as they posed in their edgy outfits together. Videos from the outing captured Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, holding hands and wrapping their arms around each other. At one point, the twosome put their foreheads together and lovingly gazed into each other’s eyes.

Kidman donned a black leather halter top with chiffon trim, black pants and matching black heels for the event. She wore her long blonde hair parted down the middle and paired the hairdo with a smokey eye. Urban wore a coordinating black velvet suit and matching vest with a deep V-neck, showing off his chest tattoo. He paired the look with black creepers. At one point, he stepped aside to give Kidman a solo moment on the red carpet.

That night, Urban was honored with the ACM Triple Crown Award after previously winning Top New Male Vocalist in 2001, Male Vocalist of the Year in 2005 and 2006 and Entertainer of the Year in 2019. He was the first artist to receive the award since Carrie Underwood in 2010.

When he took the stage to accept the award, Urban gushed about his marriage to Kidman and their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.

“I wanna thank the ACM Academy for this, and my wife, Nicole Mary, is here tonight,” he said at the time. “I love you, baby girl. Our girls, Sunday and Faith, watching at home tonight, I love you both too.”

After the ceremony, Urban took to Instagram to share his gratitude for the honor and included several snapshots with Kidman in the post.

“TRIPLE CROWN !!! it was a surreal feeling and truly humbling honor to be recognized at the @acmawards last night, and a triple-sized, massive thank you to @megmoroney, @chrisstapleton, and @brothersosborne for your insanely inspired performances last night during the show,” he wrote alongside the post. “I LOVED every second of it !!!”

Four months after their red carpet PDA moments at the ACM Awards, Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, September 29, that Kidman and Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. The following day, multiple outlets confirmed Kidman filed for divorce from Urban. TMZ was first to report the news.

Just days before news of her split from Urban became public, Kidman stepped out for an elegant soiree in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 25. In photos from the event shared via a press release, Kidman noticeably wore her wedding ring on her ring finger.

She attended a Clé de Peau Beauté event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures to celebrate her role as a Global Brand Ambassador. The partnership was first announced in July. The event was attended by around 100 guests, per the press release.

During the outing, Kidman donned a floor-length black gown with a fitted bodice and drapery around her hips. She accessorized the ensemble with a black watch and sported bold red lipstick.
