This is how the Grinch stole the Golden Arches.
To feed your holiday nostalgia, McDonald’s has taken a page out of Dr. Seuss’s book “The Grinch” to launch a new limited-edition adult Happy Meal.
The green character’s “diabolical culinary debut” features a new menu item, Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries — arriving for the first time in the U.S.
“THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN’T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD’S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART,” The Grinch said in a handwritten note on crumpled paper from Mt. Crumpit, per a press release.
The Grinch Meal first debuted in Canada in 2024, and with all the success, it was a “no-brainer” to bring it to America, Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement.
The classic McD’s fries are served with dill pickle seasoning on the side that guests can toss together with the fries in a McShaker bag to create the flavored concoction.
Pair the pickled fries with a choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets as well as a medium drink for the complete meal.
The Grinch is also being sneaky with the Happy Meals, putting a pair of socks scribbled with messages from the green guy himself, letting everyone know exactly where his heart is this holiday season.
The socks come in four “unhinged” colors — red, blue, yellow and green — and can even be used as a last-minute stocking.
“i SAW AN OPPORTUNiTY TO BRiNG MiSCHiEF TO YOUR BELOVED ‘RESTAURANT’ WiTH MY DELiCiOUS CHAOS FOR THE HOLiDAYS AND i TOOK iT,” The Grinch wrote in his note.
“SO GO AHEAD, GRAB MY MEAL STARTING DEC. 2 – YOU’RE WELCOME FOR MAKiNG YOUR HOLiDAYS iNFiNiTELY MORE iNTERESTiNG.”
The price of The Grinch Meal varies by location and will be available at participating locations for a limited time, while supplies last, according to McDonald’s.
