Blake Lively celebrated husband Ryan Reynolds with a sweet Father’s Day tribute.
“No one I’ve ever known is better than this man,” Lively, 38, shared via Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 21. The actress posted a photo of Reynolds, 49, holding one of their four children, whose back was facing the camera.
Lively and Reynolds wed in 2012 and they are parents to daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, along with son Olin, 3.
“This pregnant lady with laryngitis seems to be a big fan,” Lively captioned a second Instagram post, sharing a video of her November 2022 speech, presenting Reynolds with the 36th American Cinematheque Award.
Although Lively tagged him in her post, he has yet to share the tributes to his own Instagram Story.
Reynolds has been by Lively’s side throughout her highly publicized It Ends With Us legal battle, which came to an end earlier this year.
Lively filed a lawsuit against It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni in December 2024, claiming that he sexually harassed her, fostered a hostile work environment and created a smear campaign against her. Baldoni repeatedly denied her allegations, filing a countersuit which was ultimately dismissed.
After years of legal back-and-forth, Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement out of court on May 4.
“The end product – the movie It Ends With Us – is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind,” Lively and Baldoni shared in a joint statement via their attorneys, obtained by Us Weekly at the time. “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.”
The statement continued, “We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.”
Days after the settlement news, Reynolds praised Lively in a Mother’s Day tribute.
“I appreciate this mother beyond measure,” Reynolds wrote at the time, sharing photos of him and Lively. “She is kind. She is fearless. She’s the absolute love of my life — and to our four little kids, she’s the life of their love.”
