Rescuers worked frantically to save a trapped truck driver after their vehicle crashed into a building in Pacific Palisades on Thursday.

Authorities said the truck rammed into a single story commercial building on the 14800 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 11:30 a.m, leaving the vehicle’s cab portion crushed.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.

“Firefighters are extricating the solo driver of the truck. The driver is anticipated to be transported to a local hospital. No occupants are reported to be inside the business, which was struck,” the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement.

Authorities said that the age and gender of the truck driver are unknown at the moment but the individual is expected to be transported to a local hospital.

“No occupants are reported to be inside the business,” LAFD added.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
