Climate change is increasingly linked to the rising cost of travel, according to Eduardo Santander, CEO of the European Travel Commission. Speaking at the Euronews Travel & Tourism Summit in Brussels, Santander said higher costs are affecting how people perceive and experience travel.

He also highlighted labour shortages in the tourism sector, with some European countries relying on workers from outside the continent.
Santander said Europe remains heavily reliant on intra-European travel, while the US continues to be an important long-haul market.
