An out-of-control passenger onboard an American Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Dallas Tuesday allegedly charged a flight attendant and tried to open a plane door in mid-air — forcing fellow passengers to restrain him with duct tape.

The man got up from his seat on Flight 1915 and told a flight attendant that he needed to get off the plane, according to a police report obtained by local ABC affiliate station WFAA.

When the crew member told him that wasn’t possible, he grew louder and angrier and then rushed the staffer to try to reach the cabin door, the report states.

The flight attendant was able to stop him, and three passengers jumped up to help control the unruly passenger, according to the document.

The group pinned the flyer down and used duct tape from an onboard flight kit to tie up his wrists and ankles to restrain him.

When the flight landed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, police officers with its Department of Public Safety boarded the plane and took the man into custody, a spokesperson for DFW said.

He was taken off the plane in a wheelchair and sent to undergo a mental health evaluation, the report said.

The flight attendant who the disruptive traveler allegedly charged was brought to the hospital for neck and wrist injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon.

“American Airlines flight 1915 with service from Milwaukee (MKE) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) was met by law enforcement upon arrival at DFW due to a disruptive customer,” a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement.

“The safety and security of our customers and team members is our top priority and we thank our team members and customers for managing a difficult situation.”

The Post has requested a copy of the police report.
