Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are having an open dialogue about the possibility of expanding their family.

“I don’t know what’s going on, but we have talked more lately about having kids. We have talked more lately about the idea of even adopting a child and usually it’s me bringing it up to you,” Holmes, 48, told Robach, 52, on the Monday, September 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Amy & T.J.” podcast. “Usually the response is the one you all just heard. She laughs at me. She’s laughing at me.”

Robach explained that she found the idea humorous because she was told more than a decade prior that she was “out of the baby making business” following her cancer diagnosis. (Robach was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, undergoing eight rounds of chemotherapy and a breast reconstruction surgery before being diagnosed cancer-free.)

“I do chuckle, because yes, that was a painful thing to hear at 40. But I have come to peace with it and am very happy to have had two children,” Robach said. “I’m saying this genuinely — my girls have now gone off — but to have Sabine around is joy. I absolutely totally appreciate and actually really look forward to and love having that childlike, that sweetness around. It’s awesome.”

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are embracing the next chapter of their relationship now that they are under one roof. While Robach, 51, moved into Holmes’ residence so her 21-year-old daughter, Ava, could temporarily live in her place, the couple are enjoying their new setup. “Amy and T.J. are focused on creating a healthy living […]

Robach is mom to Ava and Annalise, whom she welcomed with ex-husband Andrew Shue in 2002 and 2006, respectively. Holmes, meanwhile, shares Brianna and Jaiden with ex-wife Amy Ferson and daughter Sabine with ex-wife Marilee Fiebig. (Shue and Fiebig are now dating.)

“For whatever reason, our own family is something that even I lately can relate to,” Holmes shared. “It’s not even a matter of watching you and your girls, you watching me with mine. It’s just really a matter of when you are with you can’t help but want to create your own unit. And yes, those units sometimes come from other pieces and places coming together, but you can have them.”

Robach and Holmes’ romance first made headlines in 2022, when they were both married. The following year, ABC fired the couple for their off-screen relationship. As the pair continues to navigate their relationship, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that an “engagement is coming.”

“It’s been in the works for a while,” the insider said in June, teasing that a proposal could happen “any day” and would likely be announced on their podcast “when the time is right.”

ABC/Heidi Gutman Ready for something more? T.J. Holmes and former GMA3 coanchor Amy Robach have considered their “next steps” as a couple, a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. Holmes, 45, and the former ABC News correspondent, 50, have “talked about” what their future together entails and have even discussed “moving […]

The source shared that Robach and Holmes’ wedding wouldn’t be “flashy,” but they would extend an invite to both Fiebig and Shue.

“How they got together is not traditional, so they want the engagement and wedding this time around to be their own style — modest and simple,” the insider said. “They want to share their vows in front of the closest people who matter to them to demonstrate how much they love each other and are committed to each other.”
