Andy Cohen revealed that he and bestie Anderson Cooper took their kids on an “epic spring break” trip.
“It was the ultimate family vacation. What a joy,” Cohen, 56, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 19, alongside photos and videos from the vacation.
Cohen appeared to be enjoying himself while taking a wild ride with Cooper, 57, on the Tron Lightcycle indoor roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida.
Theme park fans of all affiliations can rest easy because the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host mentioned via Instagram that his family also visited Disney’s competitor, Universal Studios, while in Florida.
The Bravo host dropped another adorable video showing his 2-year-old daughter Lucy “squashing the beef” with Disney character Daisy Duck at one of the Disney parks.
Cohen had previously shared a hilarious conversation with Lucy via Instagram in January, where his daughter called Daisy “mean.”
“She’s not mean, she’s nice. She’s Daisy Duck,” Cohen assured her at the time. “They’re all nice. Mickey Mouse, all of them!”
The good news is that Cohen confirmed with his Instagram video that Lucy and Daisy have now finally made peace — though the same can’t be said for Minnie Mouse, as Lucy rushed past her to hug Daisy.
“If Lucy & Daisy Duck can figure things out, I think we can spread this vibe to the Bravoverse,” Cohen joked via Instagram.
Summer House alum Danielle Olivera suggested Daisy and Lucy’s reconciliation “should be played at every reunion” in the Bravoverse going forward. Meanwhile, Cohen’s longtime friend (and Saturday Night Live legend) Cheri Oteri was among those amused to see Lucy brushing off Minnie Mouse.
“[Omg] this SO cute!!!! She blew off Mini, I would too I heard she smokes,” Oteri wrote in the comments.
Cohen is a father of two — son Ben, 6, arrived in 2019 and Lucy, 2, was born in 2022, respectively. Cooper has two sons with former partner Benjamin Maisani — Wyatt Morgan Maisani-Cooper, 5, and Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper, 3, respectively.
Cooper and Cohen have been close friends since the early 1990s when they were almost set up on a blind date. In 2016, Cooper revealed on WWHL that it wasn’t a love match because Cohen broke his “cardinal rule” right away.
“Andy and I were first set up on a blind date, which never happened because we had a phone call and after two minutes I said, ‘I’m not dating this guy,’” Cooper recounted at the time. “He broke my cardinal rule … he mentioned my mom [Gloria Vanderbilt] within the first four sentences of meeting me.”
The two talk show hosts were never together romantically but have had no shortage of adventures together. Over the years, the pair’s families have spent numerous holidays together, including Cohen and Cooper ringing in the New Year on CNN every December 31st.
Cohen is set to return from his Florida getaway in the next few days as he’s scheduled to cohost NBC’s Today with Jenna Bush Hager from New York City on Tuesday, April 22.
Prior to going on vacation with his BFF, Cohen revealed on WWHL on March 31 that he’d recently had Botox injections. He confessed to Married to Medicine cast member Dr. Contessa Metcalfe that he’d been injected “about a month ago” for the “first time in [his] life,” but stressed that he’d only had “a little” Botox for the first dose.
