Both President Joe Biden and Donald Trump grappled a age-old question during Thursday’s debate — their age.

Posed with the question by moderators, Biden, 81, reminded voters to look at his record and the other option: Trump.

“First of all, I spent — half my career, I’ve been being criticized for being the youngest person in politics,” Biden said. “And now I’m the oldest. This guy is three years younger [and] a lot less competent.”

“Just look at the record,” the president added. “Look at what I’ve done.”

If elected, Biden will be 85 at the end of his second term.

Trump then boasted about taking two cognitive tests and making the results public.

“I’d like to see him take one just want a really easy [one],” he chided.

Trump tried to ward off voters’ concern about his potential conclusion of a second term at the age of 82 years old by boasting of his cognitive achievements.

“I took two tests, cognitive tests, I aced them,” he answered, before throwing it back at Biden. “I’d like to see him take one, just one, a really easy one, just go through the first five questions — he couldn’t do it.”

“I’m in very good health,” Trump went on. “I just won two club championships, not even senior, two regular club championships.”

“You have to be quite smart,” he explained, eventually drawing Biden into discussing his golf handicap in the rebuttal.
