Brooke Mueller Explains Why She Has ‘A Little Strain’ With Denise Richards After Reality Show Cameo

Brooke Mueller has thoughts about her recent cameo on Denise Richards’ Denise Richards and Her Wild Things reality TV show.

“Denise and I have a little strain right now going on,” Mueller, 47, claimed to People in an interview published Thursday, March 27. “When I see the episode[s], I’m not even really in it. And so I don’t know if she knows that I was significantly cut out and there’s that tension, or if she’s just really busy.”

Mueller chalked up her and Richards’ drama to “a sister moment” — but they have yet to clear the air.

“I have been trying to get a hold of her,” Mueller added, further alleging that she “wasn’t paid a dollar” to appear on the Bravo series.

Richards, 54, has not publicly addressed the apparent falling out.

Richards is now starring on Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, which marks her Bravo return after leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with her three daughters. (The actress shares Sami, 20, and Lola, 19, with ex Charlie Sheen and is also mom of Eloise, 13.)

Mueller, who shares two sons with 59-year-old Sheen, made a brief appearance in the first episode. Richards and her girls joined Mueller at an onscreen memorial for Mueller’s late pet lizard.

“We shot two days of episodes on [a memorial for] for Godzilla that she was babysitting for six months when I was in treatment,” Mueller said, referring to her substance abuse issues. “And there was an accident, and he had gotten into something. It’s not [Denise’s] fault. I had him for 30 years. He was almost six feet and an endangered species, no joke. Unfortunately, the fact that he died does land on me because I wasn’t there and able to properly even give them notice to [tell them] how and what [to do].”

Mueller also claimed that Sami and Lola said in a separate Wild Things scene that they were unaware of their dad’s past marriage to Mueller.

“Their daughters say they didn’t know I was married to Charlie, [which] defies logic,” Mueller told the outlet. “[Denise’s and my kids] always call each other brother and sister. I mean, I guess they could have thought that for some reason we only had kids together, but I don’t get it.”

Mueller further stressed that she and Richards have long been “fast friends” due to their respective dating histories with Sheen.

“Denise has been the one, at the end of the day, no matter how messed up I’ve been, she’s been the one trying to help me get off wherever I’m at,” Mueller added. “She’ll go ahead and even look at houses for me to rent when I’m in treatment. So right now, we’re just having a sister moment, and in fact, there’s ways in which the bigger, more important things in life, she’s always been there for me, always.”
