Brooklyn Peltz Beckham continues to escalate his family feud and this time it comes in the form of a tattoo.
Brooklyn, 26, stepped out with wife Nicole Peltz Beckham late last month amid the drama. Photos obtained by The Sun on Wednesday, February 4, appeared to confirm that Brooklyn had covered up the tribute to David Beckham inked on his right arm.
According to the images, three small symbols covered up the letters “DAD” tattooed on the intricate anchor design that Brooklyn has had for years. Underneath the anchor, the words “Love You Bust,” are still visible. This statement is a nod to Brooklyn and David’s father-son bond. The two famously referred to each other as “Buster” which David has tattooed on his neck.
The Sun reported on Wednesday that the tattoo was lasered off. Us Weekly has reached out to Brooklyn’s rep for comment.
Brooklyn made headlines on January 19 with a scathing statement slamming David and mom Victoria Beckham after rumors of a family feud had been swirling for months.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote in a lengthy Instagram Stories post. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He added, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn alleged that his parents “controlled” the narratives about his family for his entire life with “performative social media posts” and “inauthentic relationships.” (Along with Brooklyn, David and Victoria are also parents to Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.)
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of the innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out,” he continued, claiming that David and Victoria have been trying to “endlessly to ruin my relationship” since before he and Nicola, 31, tied the knot in 2022.
Speculation of drama between Nicola and Victoria ramped up just before their wedding.
“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” Brooklyn alleged, referring to a highly publicized rumor, which was denied at the time.
Brooklyn claimed he’s been a victim of “endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly” along with his brothers. He also alleged that Nicola has been “consistently disrespected” by members of his family.
David was asked about his eldest son’s statement days later. The former professional athlete pointedly avoided questions about his family drama while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on January 20.
Brooklyn’s statement concluded with him discussing the “overwhelming anxiety” that he’s grown up with.
“For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief,” he concluded. “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
