The family of murdered Cash App founder Bob Lee is suing is suing his killer and the killer’s relatives, accusing them of attempting to destroy key evidence following the murder.

Lee, 43, was repeatedly stabbed by Nima Momeni near his home in San Francisco on April 4, 2023, and died hours later in hospital.

His family is suing Momeni as well as his mother, sister, brother-in-law and several property management companies, according to documents filed in San Francisco Superior County Court on Friday.

The lawsuit claims Momeni’s relatives tried to sell the car that he picked Lee up in on the night of the murder, and then deleted information from their cellphones to conceal evidence.

It also accuses Portside Homeowners Association and Securitas Security Services of improperly releasing the disturbing security footage showing Lee’s final moments as he staggered down the street bleeding, saying it caused his two children significant emotional distress.

Lee’s family is seeking unspecified damages for negligence, wrongful death, aiding and abetting, conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.
