Tyler Robinson apparently confessed to killing conservative icon Charlie Kirk in an online message to friends the day after the public assassination.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” reads a chat message purportedly sent by Robinson, 22, through online community Discord, according to the Washington Post.

“It was me at UVU yesterday. i’m sorry for all of this,” the missive concluded.
The message was sent Thursday night, around two hours before Robinson was apprehended, from an account on the platform tied to the suspect.
A screenshot of the conversation was obtained by the outlet through an anonymous member of the group and has not been independently verified by The Post.
Discord previously claimed it found “no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord” after an internal investigation.
Robinson’s apparent confession comes as federal authorities announced Monday that they were casting a wider net into whether pro-trans, online communities or others knew about the Sept. 10 killing of the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder.
