“Happiest New Year so thankful for what this year has brought,” Moretz, 27, captioned an Instagram post on Wednesday, January 1. “The people, the places, our families, our health, our love. Wishing all of you a peaceful start to this new year.”

One of the photos showed Moretz and Harrison, 34, interlocking their fingers while sporting matching diamond rings. The photo, which had a blurry background, appeared to be snapped at a scenic location where the duo was on rocks overlooking a body of water.

The couple has not publicly addressed the status of their relationship, but engagement speculation started swirling in April 2024. At the time, Moretz and Harrison were photographed at Disneyland wearing diamond rings — the same shown in Wednesday’s Instagram photo. Moretz was first seen wearing the ring when attending a W Magazine event in March 2024. (Eagle-eyed fans noticed that there is a thin gold band accompanying the diamond ring.)

Moretz was first romantically linked to Harrison in 2018 when they were seen kissing during an outing in Malibu. When it comes to discussing their relationship, both have kept things low-key. However, they are fans of posting glimpses of their life on social media.

“I like to keep my private life private,” the Kick-Ass alum said in a November 2022 interview. “I’m in a long-term relationship. And I really enjoy that.”

Prior to Moretz’s current relationship, the actress was romantically linked to other stars. She was in a relationship with Brooklyn Beckham from 2014 to 2018. (He has since moved on and married Nicola Peltz.)

While she is in a long-term relationship with Harrison, Moretz has never publicly labeled her sexuality. She has, however, talked candidly about how being open about sexual identity played a major part in her upbringing. (Both of her brothers, Trevor and Colin, identify as gay.)

“In our household, it was never ‘Don’t say gay’. That was never even a reality for us,” Moretz said in the same 2022 interview. “There was always an opening of sexuality, of you can be who you want to be, when you want to be it and how you want to express it. Just be safe and be honest and open and talk to me about it.”

She added, “Because of that, I think that we all have an ability and understanding of ourselves that we’re able to communicate what we want and how we want it.”
