Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Gave Cheeky Answer About the ‘Special Woman In His Life’

Yes, Shedeur Sanders has a woman in his life, and no, it’s not his girlfriend.

“I have my mom,” the NFL hopeful said when asked about the topic.

Sanders’ cheeky answer came during an episode of his” 2Legendary” podcast in February when family friend Darius Sanders (no relation to Shedeur, 23) asked the University of Colorado quarterback if there was a “special woman” in his life.

Between his massive social following, big-brand endorsement deals and his own on-field accolades, Shedeur is used to the spotlight. He’s also the brother of fellow Colorado star Shiloh Sanders and the son of football legend (and Colorado head coach) Deion Sanders.

Now, he’s getting ready for a professional career as a projected first-round pick in Thursday night’s NFL Draft. While he’s been linked to actress Storm Reid and singer Jasmine Rae, not much is known about his current love life.

But regardless of his relationship status, it’s his mom, Pilar, who occupies a special place in his heart.

Pilar, 50, and Deion, 57, were married from 1999 to 2015 and, in addition to Shedeur and Shiloh, 25, they share daughter Shelomi, 21. Like her brothers, Shelomi is also a college athlete, suiting up for the Alabama A&M women’s basketball team.

Despite a messy divorce that resulted in Deion getting sole custody of Shiloh and Shedeur, and joint custody of Shelomi, Shedeur remains close to both of his parents. He opened up about balancing time with each during Thanksgiving on a November 2024 episode of his podcast.

“Before, we was all one big happy family. Everything was fun… we had the turkey, we had everything,” he said. “Now… I gotta make sure I don’t eat too much at Dad’s house, don’t eat too much at Mom’s house. I gotta make sure I balance out my stomach. A lot of kids that’s parents [aren’t] together that has to have two Thanksgivings, y’all understand what I’m talking about.”

For her part, Pilar frequently shouts out her kids via her Instagram channel and posted a tribute to Shedeur on his 23rd birthday in February.

“23 years ago Today I brought a Legendary Soul into this earthly realm!” she wrote alongside a video of the two of them. “@shedeursanders Happy Birthday, Born Day, Solar Return Son!
