Your wedding could soon be filled with grim grinning ghosts.
Starting in July, Disney lovers can tie the knot on the front steps of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons announced Wednesday.
“With soaring columns and an eerily enchanting façade, the wedding venue sits in the heart of the magic at Disneyland Park and provides a dramatic backdrop for couples who want an unforgettable destination for their intimate ceremony or vow renewal,” the press release said.
The eerie venue will be available for early morning weddings before the park opens and can accommodate two to 25 guests, including the couple, making for a spooky and intimate ceremony.
Minimal lighting, a dedicated officiant, light décor, a photographer, and transportation to and from a Disneyland Resort hotel are included in the wedding package for the Haunted Mansion Courtyard.
The website noted that Disney Entertainment, floral, décor and photography are required when saying “I do” at this hauntingly romantic venue.
Korri McFann, marketing director for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, said in a statement that the move comes as couples are “looking for a destination wedding venue with unique storytelling so that it reflects their passions and interests.”
“Haunted Mansion has always been a fan favorite, and we’re delighted to bring their dream wedding to life,” she added.
For those who love the Haunted Mansion attraction but want to keep the ghosts out of it, Magnolia Park Terrace is an “elegant” spot just a few steps away, featuring a different view of the Haunted Mansion.
Meanwhile, Disney fans who want to take their haunted ceremonies to the seas can do so as well.
Starting in May, couples will be able to say their vows inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Destiny cruise ship.
That themed lounge can also accommodate 25 guests.
