Dolores Catania is looking back at her Real Housewives of New Jersey party that held a hefty price tag.

“You know, all I could think of when I was watching that whole thing?” Dolores, 54, said during the Thursday, April 30, episode of the “Two Ts in a Pod”podcast, in which she recapped the latest episode of The Valley alongside Teddi Mellencamp. “I spent $30,000 on a finale party here. OK. I hired actors. I got whiskey flown [in], people flown in from Ireland. I had Irish flowers.”

She was reacting to the Tuesday, April 29, episode of The Valley in which Janet Caperna hosted her birthday party at Dave & Busters. Dolores compared the bash to the Ireland party she threw during a season 13 episode of RHONJ, which aired in 2023.

“I had my garage turned into a casino with our faces on coins that they never showed,” Dolores continued. “I’m thinking to myself, ‘Dave & Busters and beer. Get the f*** out of here? The f***? And we’re canceled?’”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars have a lot to say about the future of the franchise. “I see it coming back because it was too good not to,” Dolores Catania told Us Weekly exclusively on the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Wednesday, September 11. “In a perfect world, I feel […]

RHONJ isn’t really canceled, just on pause for now. After season 14 concluded in August 2024, no news about the show’s return has been announced. (Season 14 ended without a traditional reunion following a massive fight between members of the cast. Sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga refused to film together for a majority of the season.)

However, the cast — including Dolores, Teresa, Melissa, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral — has no idea what the future holds.

“All of [the women] have been in contact with production, but not with any news,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively in February of RHONJ. “There’s still an open line of communication but no news on who is coming back or who is not coming back.”

While there’s no news just yet, “production wants the show to come back,” the same insider told Us, and they are willing to “see how they can make it work.”

Currently, it’s “the network that’s stalling,” the same source said. “None of the Housewives have heard anything from the network.”

A spokesperson for Bravo told Us at the time that “no decisions have been made around casting for RHONJ.”

Andy Cohen has even weighed in on the speculation of the show’s future, initially shutting down any recasting rumors and telling fans when there might be an update.

“You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he told Us exclusively in December 2024. “And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
