President Trump’s immigration raids collared the illegal Jordanian migrant accused of trying to “breach” Marine Corps Base Quantico last year — after he was twice set free under former President Joe Biden, The Post has learned.
Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, is now facing deportation.
Hamdan and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, were first nabbed on May 3, 2024 after the pair allegedly trespassed onto the military base and were immediately placed into ICE custody.
But by the next month, ICE let them go after they posted bond in their immigration cases — with Hamdan’s set at $15,000 and Dabous’ set at $10,000.
But with Trump back in office with stricter immigration policies, ICE arrested Hamdan again on Feb. 7 in Richmond, Virginia, ensuring that he would be processed for deportation, an agency spokesperson told The Post.
Both Hamdan and Dabous, who overstayed his student visa, were charged with misdemeanor trespassing on military property and were ordered released in that case on July 22 with the agreement that they would appear for their future immigration hearings and avoid going to Quantico or other military bases, according to the court documents, which were first reported by Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies.
Hamdan was first nabbed after crossing the southern border illegally into San Diego in April 2024, but was quickly released into the US because the feds lacked the detention space to hold him, federal law enforcement sources previously told The Post.

Cops have since confirmed that Dabous, who was behind the wheel, “had a valid reason” to be on the base, according to court documents filed by Hamdan’s attorney.
But when cops ordered Dabous to move the vehicle for further inspection, the Jordanian migrant “continued onto the base,” which his attorney argued was “due to a language barrier.”
Capt. Michael Curtis, a spokesman for the base, previously told The Post that Dabous told the military police officers at the base’s entry gate that “they worked for a company subcontracted by Amazon and were making a delivery to the U.S. Post Office located in the Town of Quantico.”
The two migrants, however, failed to provide the “approved credentials” they needed to enter the base and “ignored” instructions by continuing “to move the vehicle past the holding area” to proceed onto the military installation, said Curtis.
Dabous’ attorney argued that he eventually stopped the vehicle and “complied” with the officers’ orders.
The guards immediately deployed “vehicle denial barriers” before detaining the migrant pair.
Hamdan is set to appear before an immigration judge is scheduled for April 2.
The Trump administration has ramped up ICE arrests, focusing their efforts on targeting “the worst of the worst.”
In the first 50 days of Trump’s presidency, ICE made nearly 33,000 arrests, including more than 14,000 criminals, Homeland Security officials told reporters on a call Wednesday.
And with so many arrests, ICE is already running out of detention space, seeking additional funding and help from other federal and local agencies.
