The laugh’s on him.

Scarlett Johansson’s alleged stalker was arrested for threatening to bomb the studio of “Saturday Night Live” — where the actress’ husband, Colin Jost, works as a staff writer and co-host of the “Weekend Update” segment, according to court filings and law enforcement sources.

Michael Joseph Branham, 48 — who has the word “Scarlett” tattooed with a heart on his torso — was busted in Manhattan Wednesday for allegedly text messaging the menacing remarks.

“THE NEXT TIME YOU HERE [sic] FROM ME I WILL BE ON CNN FOR EXPLODING A BOMB IN SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AUDIENCE,” Branham texted to the messaging service at the online, for-profit university he attends, according to the criminal complaint.

A global security investigator for NBC Universal and 30 Rock, where the famed sketch comedy show is filmed, reported the frightening text at the Midtown North Precinct Tuesday, according to police sources.

Branham — who has four outstanding warrants in Kentucky — was then arrested in the city for the threat — which prosecutors said was “based off a personal obsession” with the Hollywood star.

He was arraigned Thursday night in Manhattan criminal court on felony charges, including false reporting an incident and making a threat of mass harm. He was ordered held on $100,000 cash or $300,000 bond bail.

His public defender, Jamie Niskanen-Singer of Legal Aid, asked for lower bail — arguing that the obsessed fan has been scammed in the past by people posing as Johansson online and that the apparent scammers could be behind the SNL threat.

“He has given out information. He may have been hacked, your honor,” Niskanen-Singer said, pointing out that the only evidence was a text message. “It’s very possible here that there is someone that is setting him up.”

The lawyer also argued that lower bail should be set since his client had no history of weapon use.

But Judge Janet McDonnell wouldn’t hear it.

“Let’s remember why we’re here. We’re here because he threatened to bomb Saturday Night Live, which is a violent bail qualifying offense,” she said.

McDonnell also issued both Johansson and Jost orders of protection against the alleged creep at his arraignment hearing despite his lawyer’s rebuttal.

“Scarlett Johansson is not a victim or a witness to this crime. She did not see it, she did not hear it, she did not report it,” Niskanen-Singer said, arguing that no order of protection for the actress was necessary.

Johansson tried last year to get a restraining order against the crazed fan, who allegedly believes he fathered one of her children, and has made other bonkers claims about her on social media.

The 40-year-old “Lost in Translation” star said Branham had harassed her for more than a year, including repeatedly showing up at her home in November 2023, according to the court filing last year.

But a California court was forced to dismiss her plea for protection in April 2024 because her lawyer failed to serve him the court papers, the celebrity news site The Blast reported.

The apparently delusional fan — who is the father of two daughters, age 18 and 5 — has a wild X account where he has declared that the actress is his “fiancée,” has professed his love, and thanked her for buying him “a car.”

“Don’t worry about anything #SCARLETTINGRIDJOHANSSON I still have not cheated on you no matter what the brain interface people tell you in the air waves!!!,” he tweeted in November 2023. “I love you honey I’m waiting for you still in Hollywood.”

Johansson married Jost, who has written for the show since 2005, in October 2020 after dating for three years.
