Farrah Abraham is sharing 16-year-old daughter Sophia’s reaction to her mom’s episode of A&E’s docuseries Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes.
Abraham, 34, exclusively tells Us Weekly ahead of her episode’s airing on Monday, September 22, that Sophia watched the installment and said she doesn’t “remember being there” in 2013 when Abraham’s sex tape with adult film star James Deen was released. (Sophia was around 4 years old at the time.)
“My best friend, my daughter, she doesn’t even remember being there for any vivid conversations when I was trying to like unconvolute my brain and balance motherhood and all that,” the Teen Mom alum says.
Farrah also notes that Sophia encouraged her to continue keeping her distance from her estranged parents, Michael Abraham and Debra Danielsen, even after Farrah’s dad commented on the episode.
“My daughter really had a word with me the other night,” Farrah says. “She just said, ‘No matter, like, with this episode coming out, like, do not go back to talking to them.’ And again, my daughter is just raised with not tolerating toxic stuff on her shoulders, so she just doesn’t believe in it. [She said], ‘Don’t go there, you know, don’t visit the circus.’ So my daughter is so wise.”
In 2013, Farrah appeared in the pornographic video Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom with Deen, 39, and claimed at the time that the video was a homemade project that was “leaked.” However, Deen publicly characterized the shoot as a professional video rather than a casual “sex tape.”
“After seeing James speaking about my personal video as a porn and not even contacting me before running his mouth, I have to say I am very disappointed,” Farrah told Us in a statement in 2013. “I personally will never have anything to do with James. I’m a great woman, mother and entrepreneur. As for the company who has a copy of my personal video, my lawyer is taking care of that matter.”
Farrah later appeared in a second video, called Farrah 2: Backdoor and More, with Deen in 2014. Her lawyer told TMZ at the time that Vivid Video, the production company behind the adult films, did not have permission to release the sequel.
In the trailer for Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes, a producer can be heard asking Farrah if the first video was “originally made to be released.”
While Farrah’s response is not shown, the trailer cuts to a clip of the MTV personality wiping away tears.
Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes is “an unfiltered deep dive into the most infamous celebrity sex tapes, revealing untold stories, cultural impact, and how scandal reshaped fame, consent, and pop culture itself,” according to the synopsis. Other featured stars include Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, Colin Farrell, Katie Hill, Mimi Faust and Dustin Diamond.
