The home of ex-NYPD top cop Jeffrey Maddrey was raided by authorities early Thursday amid a probe into allegations he traded sexual favors with an underling, the NYPD Commissioner said.
“At my direction, the Internal Affairs Bureau of the New York City Police Department is working with law enforcement authorities to investigate allegations against former Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey,” Commish Jessica Tisch said in a statement.
“Maddrey was suspended from the department this morning, as law enforcement agents executed search warrants at several locations, including his residence.”
It comes after Maddrey — the NYPD’s highest-ranking uniformed officer — abruptly resigned late last month after The Post uncovered explosive allegations he demanded sexual favors from the subordinate in exchange for massive amounts of overtime.
Maddrey has denied the sex-for-overtime accusations.
