After supporting Heidi Montag’s pop career, Flavor Flav is adding Leighton Meester into the rotation.
“Starting to hype up my girl Leighton Meester and help her family recover from the fire,” the musician, 65, captioned a TikTok video of himself dancing to Meester and Robin Thicke’s 2009 single “Somebody to Love” on Tuesday, January 14.
Flav encouraged fans to show their support for the actress in the post’s caption, writing, “Stream @LeightonMeester Somebody to Love and use the song in yo TikTok’s 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾.”
Meester, 38, and her husband, Adam Brody, are reportedly among many celebrities who have lost their homes due to the L.A. wildfires, which started last week and have forced thousands to evacuate the area. The couple, who wed in 2014 and share two kids, have not publicly commented on their home’s destruction.
Meester released her debut single, “Somebody to Love,” during her time starring on the hit series Gossip Girl, which ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012. She went on to release a cover of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and the single “Your Love’s A Drug” in 2009 and 2010, respectively, before releasing her solo album, Heartstrings, in 2014.
Meester’s music credits also include singing in the 2010 film Country Strong and being featured on Cobra Starship’s hit 2009 track “Good Girls Go Bad.”

In addition to helping Meester, Flav announced in a Saturday, January 11, TikTok upload that he has “donated to GoFundMe programs and also to numerous nonprofit organization programs.” He added: “I would like everybody to join in with your boy Flavor Flav and help donate to all of these families right now that’s in need because they need us right now.”
One of the families Flav is helping out via social media is Montag, 38, and her husband, Spencer Pratt. He helped Montag’s 2010 album, Superficial, reach No. 1 on the iTunes charts by using her song “I’ll Do It” in several TikTok posts. (Pratt started the trend when fans were rallying behind the couple and looking to help them secure funds to rebuild.)
“Doing my part to get Heidi Montag to #1,” he wrote alongside a clip of him dancing with Montag’s song playing on top. “Wishing y’all a speedy recovery and stay safe, !! 🙏🏾,” Flav added in the caption, along with tagging Montag and Pratt’s TikTok handles.
Spencer’s sister, Stephanie Pratt, first confirmed that the couple and their sons, Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 13 months, lost their home to the fires via Instagram on January 7. The two have continued to share updates with fans on social media, with Spencer tearfully thanking fans for supporting his wife’s music in a TikTok video.
“We spent all of our money on this album, Superficial, 15 years ago. … Every dollar we made from The Hills, we put into this album, Superficial,” he explained on Sunday, January 12. “And for it to finally get No. 1 in America, 15 years after. … Do you know how many times we’ve cried and how much regret we’ve had about spending all of our money and investing it and believing in Heidi’s music?
Montag, for her part, shared a TikTok clip of herself shopping at Marshalls for new clothes on Sunday. “It sounds silly but it’s really making me miss my stuff,” she stated. “[But] this place has some real treasure in here.”
