Ginny & Georgia raised the stakes by hinting Paul might not totally believe Georgia’s innocence while another character started to question their sexuality.

During the third episode of season 3, which premiered on Thursday, June 5, Paul (Scott Porter) started to wonder how much of what Georgia (Brianne Howey) was telling him was the truth.

A meeting with Georgia’s lawyer kicked off the doubt, which got worse when Nick (Daniel Beirne) tried to quit his job at the mayor’s office and Paul blackmailed him to stay instead. Paul then asked Nick to tell him everything he thought he knew about Georgia and it didn’t seem like he was happy with the new information by the time he came home.

Elsewhere in the episode, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) attended a school dance with her friends. The big night has some highs — including Ginny slow dancing and kissing ex-boyfriend Marcus (Felix Mallard). But there were also lows, like Marcus getting drunk and leaving amid his ongoing mental health issues.

An emotional roller-coaster. From Riverdale‘s Cheryl and Toni to Nancy Drew‘s Nancy and Ace, fans have watched their favorite couples break hearts with some devastating splits. Riverdale, which premiered in 2017, originally introduced Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) as a grieving sister trying to deal with the death of her twin brother Jason (Trevor Stines). After striking […]

Ginny’s friend group got a surprise of a lifetime when Hunter (Mason Temple) attended the dance with Padma (Rebecca Ablack). But the real drama revolved around Abby (Katie Douglas). She initially had issues in her casual relationship with Press (Damian Romeo), which involved him pressuring her into going down on him.

Abby, who has been suffering from an eating disorder, later attempted to support Samantha (Romi Shraiter), who she suspected was dealing with similar issues. Samantha, however, didn’t understand and instead made a move on Abby. While Abby appeared confused about her positive reaction to kissing Samantha, it got overshadowed by Samantha and Press attending the school dance together.

In flashbacks, Georgia’s complicated relationship with Zion’s (Nathan Mitchell) mother was explored while in the present, Georgia tried to accept that she would be missing major milestone moments including picking a dress out for Ginny’s dance, which Zion’s girlfriend, Simone (Vinessa Antoine), helped with instead.

Lastly, there were also hints of Max (Sara Waisglass) stuck between Silver (Katelyn Wells) — who could be her future girlfriend — and ex Sophie (Humberly González). After season 2 aired in 2023, Waisglass, 26, teased how the love triangle could play out.

“A first love is very meaningful, very hard to get over. And yes, Max is sad about it for eight episodes straight. I would be too, it takes me a long time to get over people, so I understand her pain,” Waisglass exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2023. “My favorite thing is that when Sophie wants to be friends, Max has the strength to say, ‘No, that’s going to be very painful for me. I can’t watch the person I’m in love with love other people and pretend it doesn’t kill me inside.’ So that was a moment that I was very, very proud of her for.”

Waisglass noted she was rooting for her character to choose Silver because the new character saw Max “for exactly who she is — dramatic, crazy, loving, a bit blind to other people’s pain and issues — and like her anyway.”

“And I think for Max to have someone who’s into her and who will actually return that love is a really beautiful thing to feel for the first time. So in terms of what I want for Max, I want her to give the love that she gives everyone else to herself. I think she needs that self-love because I think ultimately that’s what’s gonna make her the most free, but I do love Silver,” she concluded. “I love them all. Such great people.”

Ginny & Georgia is currently streaming on Netflix.
