Gold and silver rates today, September 18

The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 73,334 per 10 grams on September 18. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,334. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 67,228 per 10 grams.

The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 2.21% in the last one week, and the yellow metal has risen by 2.23% in the last ten days. The silver is currently quoted at Rs 89,180 per kilogram.

Commenting on the gold outlook Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst – Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities said that Gold traded weaker, pressured by a sharp rise in the rupee, causing MCX gold to drop below Rs 73,250, down by 0.35%. Meanwhile, Comex gold also saw a decline of 0.25%, falling to $2,573. Prices struggled to hold above Rs 73,500, with traders now focused on the major upcoming event, the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision on Wednesday, 18th September 2024, late evening IST.
