A prisoner just arrested for gun possession bolted from an Upper Manhattan medical center Tuesday wearing a hospital gown – the city’s second escaped prisoner in as many weeks, cops say.

Eric Cruz, 29, ran off from NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center on West 168th Street near Broadway around 8:45 a.m., police said.

He was receiving medical treatment at the Washington Heights facility about 11 hours after he was busted a few blocks away on a weapon possession rap, authorities said.

Cruz also faces an unlicensed-general-vendor charge, police said.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a hospital gown, may have fled into a nearby subway station and is still on the lam, cops said.

The 168th Street A, C and 1 train station is located steps from the hospital.

Cruz’s escape came less than a week after Gilberto Sanchez, 50 – who was busted on petit larceny and other charges – escaped from the Brooklyn Hospital Center around 2 p.m. Thursday, cops said.

Cops caught up to him later that night at Bergen and Dean streets in Boerum Hill, according to police.
